Puppies are born! Selkie had 1 girl and 3 boys on June 11th. All of the puppies are likely spoken for, but feel free to check them out and watch them grow up! :-)

May 2009

WHAT A MONTH!!! Flutter x Rhymer puppies make a huge splash.

River earned his WTCH at the SEMASA herding trials! He placed 2nd both days on his Advanced Cattle runs. He is the 4th WTCH Sheltie in the country, and the 2nd WTCH produced by Flutter!

Fiver finished her HSAs title with a 5th and 2nd place out of 30+ started dogs (she ended up wtih an insurance leg too!). She also earned her HRD-I finishing 1st with an 84 out of 90.

Blaidden qualified for the United States Disc Dog Nationals! He will be participating in the Freestyle and Toss N Fetch rounds in Cartersville, GA this October! Blaidden is the FIRST Sheltie to ever qualify for for the USDD Nationals! Check out Blaidden in action.

Faerie puppies Presto and Bilbo tear it up in the agility rings. Presto finished his AXJ while Bilbo finished his Excellent Fast title and picked up 19 MACH points! Way to go boys!

Puppies are due mid-June! Selkie is expecting her first litter, sired by Cloud.

ASSA National Specialty, 2009 News

-Fiver takes High In Trial on sheep!! This was her first trial and boy did she do it in style!
-Deacon Q'd in Novice B with a 1st place and a very impressive 198.
-Ali won a giant rosette for her blazing fast Open Standard run making her the Highest Open dog.

The Faerie shelties have had a busy 2009!! Rhymer went to the Agility Nationals with granddaughter Bindi Sue and daughter Indigo. Cloud son Clipz and Clipz's mom Luna were also in competition!

There is also a new additional: Koral came to stay at Faerie shelties.

River earned his AKC Started title on Cattle down in St. Louis.He finished his title with a 4th place, along with placements in Advanced sheep and ducks. River also completed his ASCA Open Cattle and Advanced Duck titles with placements; on Sunday he was awarded High Advanced Dog. As of the April Pacesetter, River is ranked as the #1 Herding Sheltie through November of 08.

Meanwhile, River's sister Hawk is busy with agility. Currently she has 3 MX legs and 63 MACH points.

Faerie brothers Deacon, Casey and Yeager show off their Obedience skills. Down in Texas, Deacon earns his Rally Advanced title and his CD with 6 High in Trials, then turned around and earned his PT title! Meanwhile, up north, Casey earned his first CD leg and two Rally Novice legs, while Yeager earns his RN! Way to go Rotten Black Boys!

Bilbo earned his OF title!!

Rocket earned his MX!! He's 1/4 of the way to his MACH!! Way to go!

Trinket daughters Wish and Ali begin their agility careers: Wish earned her NAJ and Ali earned her NA, NAJ.

Rhymer and Flutter daughter Kona earned her OA and OAJ! Not to be outdone by his speed-demon daughter, Rhymer picked up 2 Double Q's and is just a handful of DQ's away from his MACH!! Woohoo!

November/December 2008

Faerie puppies finished off the year in style: Kona finished her NA and NAJ; Fiver earned her Range Large Flock I title; Yeager earned his APDT Rally Level 1 title, first CPE title in the fun class CL1-F and his CGC; Bandit finished his AX and is working in Utility A and working on his Master titles.

October 2008

Rhymer qualified for the Agility Nationals! He will be there with his granddaughter Bindi Sue and daughter Indigo (MACH2 Baccara Indigo Moon Arisin XF AAD).

Faerie puppy Ali earns her PT!

Ali's sire and Cloud son, Clipz, finishes his MACH one weekend, then earns back to back High In Trials for several HCH points the next weekend! Clipz is MACH Moonglow Chosen Bi Eclipse RN XF HSAsd HXAd. He has 11 HCH points!

September 2008

River earns his RLF-IIIs and HRD-IIIs with placements in Ohio; Coyote earns his JHD in Ohio the same weekend!

Flutter finishes her HXAc title with a 2nd place in St. Louis! At the same trial, Flutter's son River picked up two Started cattle legs, with 1st place and High In Trial both days!

Faerie puppy Bilbo earned his CD and Presto earned his NA and NAJ! Hawk earned 4 1st places in Novice Preferred -- this was her first time out with her new owner Kevin!

August 2008

Cloud earns his Working Trial Championship making him one of 3 dogs who've earned both a WTCh and HCh. Flutter began learning how to track, while Hawk ran in her first trial with her new family; she qualified 3 out of 4 runs with a 1st place in each run!

At 13 months of age, Faerie puppy Fiver earns her HTAD-I on sheep in Virginia; she earned a 1st place, 3rd place, and was the High Scoring Sheltie. Meanwhile, Ali earns her STDs title with 4th and 6th place wins!

July 2008

Coyote and River take a day-trip to a local AHBA trial. Coyote earned a JHD leg, while River earned a RFLIII leg with the single comment, "WOW". Wow is right -- River took 1st place and High In Trial with that run!

Faerie puppy Deacon earned his RN; Bindi Sue qualifies for the 2009 Agility Nationals in North Carolina!!!

June 2008

At the Greater Lafayette Kennel Club herding trials, River picked up a few HCh points and Coyote finished his PT title! Client dogs Mission and Dante also had a great weekend - Mission earned her HT and Dante finished his HSAs title with 2 High In Trials and a Reserve High in Trial.

Faerie puppy Bindi finished her MXJ and is working on her MACh! Fiver participated in a Herding Match in the Started class; she "qualified" with a first place and High in Trial!! Way to go girls!

May 2008

The Cleveland Shetland Sheepdog Club herding trials..

Holy cows!!!! Cloud and River rack up the wins and ribbons at an ASCA trial. Cloud and River both took 1st in their cattle runs on Saturday and Sunday; on his score sheet, Cloud's comments were "Outstanding! Wow!" Cloud picked up his Advanced Cattle title. Cloud also finished his Advanced Duck title. River also had a 1st place in Open ducks, along with High scoring Started dog, High scoring Open dog, and High scoring other breed!!! River came home with his Starded cattle title and Open duck title. Way to go boys!

Faerie kids also had a good spring. Bindi picked up her MX title and Fiver picked up her PT.

April 2008

At the 2008 ASSA National, Justice earned a CD leg, a PT leg, and 4th place in his breed class!!

Cloud, Flutter, & River go to the St. Louis ASCA trial and come home with titles, ribbons, and the best compliment ever: "I've never seen Shelties work like that!"
